February MBE Calculator

The following calculator will estimate the percentage and number of applicants nationwide who scored better than you or worse than you on the February 2012 MBE based on your MBE scale score. The calculator is based on the February 2012 MBE Summary Statistics data released by NCBE. The calculations have approximately a +1/-1 percentage of error.

NOTE: If you are taking the upcoming UBE exam, I recently created the Seperac UBE Score Estimator which will estimate your UBE bar exam score based on the demographic and grade information you enter.

  * The February 2006 exam was the last New York bar exam that officially reported raw MBE scores. This estimated raw MBE score is an accurate scaled-raw conversion based on the February 2006 New York MBE scale. Please note that the raw conversion between administrations can differ by as many as 10 or more points, especially with extremely high or low scores.

** The February 2013 exam appears to have released raw MBE scores on examinee score sheets. While NY BOLE has neither confirmed nor denied this, I am rather confident that these are indeed the actual February 2013 raw MBE scores. Accordingly, this raw MBE score is an estimate of the scaled-raw conversion based on the February 2013 New York MBE scale. Again, please note that the raw conversion between administrations can differ by as many as 10 or more points, especially with extremely high or low scores, as illustrated above.
